Talk Title: Nanoscience and Nanotechnology– Role of electrochemistry
2nd July, 2022 at 11:00 AM
Dr. Ramendra Sundar Dey is a Scientist at Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali, India. His research interest is focused on nanocarbon-based hybrid materials for state-of-the-art energy storage and conversion system for renewable energy generation. They are in progress in developing a hybrid supercapacitor with battery or biofuel cells for clean and self-sustainable energy storage devices, paper-based biofuel cell and electrochemical study of nanoporous materials. Recently, he has been honored for Journal of Materials Chemistry A Emerging Investigator under the theme highlighting 2019’s rising stars of materials by RSC. Recently he has been awarded as "Associate of Indian Academic of Science", Bengaluru for 2020 to 2023.

Talk Title: How do plants respond to the environment
23rd July, 2022 at 11:00 AM
Dr. Riffat John is currently working as Assistant Professor in Department of Botany at University of Kashmir. Her major research focus is to understand the environmental stress tolerance mechanism in plants at proteomic, genomic and metabolomics level and at the same time genetically engineer plant genome to develop stress tolerant transgenic plants that grow into the natural world and produce more with less. She has also been awarded the prestigious Young Scientist Award by J & K State Science and Technology Council in 2015
